Day & Night Prayer…

We are committed to the vision of day and night prayer, both out of a Biblical conviction, and a heart to see Sutton changed.  Night and day prayer is both part of the means and part of the end of the Kingdom of God coming to the earth.  That is - through history, whenever night and day prayer has taken place over a sustained period in a particular location a move of God has not been far behind.  And, when God does move in answer to prayer, part of the result is more worship and prayer.  Part of our destiny is night and day prayer and worship around the throne of God, and part of how we will get there is the church continually crying out day and night for justice!

However, the reality is that night and day prayer is extremely difficult to both start and to maintain.  Many people love the idea of night and day prayer, but not many see through a commitment over weeks, months and years.  So we are wanting to walk before we can run.  We want the prayer life of our community to be both sustainable and increasing.  We continue to play with different rhythms and patterns of prayer, sometimes 24/1’s, sometimes 24/2’s and sometimes simply encouraging people to pray, as we look towards our goal of unceasing prayer for, in and from the town.  We will update the website with information on the current rhythm of prayer in advance as well as let you know any additional information.  If you share our heart for night and day prayer in the town please do get in contact through the contact page - we are actively looking for partners in this ministry.

We want to actively support day and night prayer throught praying with other churches and groups and helping with equipment and setup for anything that is happening in the borough as well as being a community that practices regular day and night prayer ourselves.
